***Describes Lawan as finest Nigerian politician

Senate’s Chief whip Orji Uzor Kalu yesterday taunted Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe asking him to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) since he has been working with them in the majority party.
Kalu spoke at a reception organized in honour of the President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan in Abuja on Wednesday.

The former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu and his wife had put the birthday party together to mark the 63rd birthday of the Senate President.
At the event, Kalu recognized Abaribe as his brother.
“I recognize my brother the minority leader. I want to personally congratulate the minority leader for the way he has been working with us the majority party.
“I want to put him in trouble so he would have trouble in PDP tomorrow so he can dump the PDP for the APC.”
He said, ‘Our party despite what people like Abaribe will say, APC has put Nigeria on good footing, President Buhari has laid an enduring foundation that will make the country to be prosperous. You better come here now.”
He also poured encomiums on the Senate President saying,

“Tonight we celebrate one of the finest Nigerian Politician, my friend, my brother and my room mate in the university, “We celebrate him because he is a reliable ally of the family. I will continue to celebrate him all my life
“Ahmad Lawan is a man who has set standard in the Senate, he has brought a lot of reformation which made us to appreciate him as senators
“Lawan has changed our calendar to become businesslike. When he gives a time frame for any agenda to be achieved he will ensure it happens exactly as projected.
“No more talks about going to pass the budget in May of 2022 when we had already passed the budget into law in December and the President has assented to it.”
The event had dignitaries including President Muhammadu Buhari who was represented by his chief of Staff Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the secretary to the Federal Government, senators, ambassadors, the diplomatic community.
