Nigeria will be taking part alongside other 71 Nations and territories in the 2022 Commonwealth Games billed to take place in Birmingham, United Kingdom from 28th July to 8th August, 2022.
Director Press and Public Relations Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mohammed Manga in a statement issued on Sunday said, Nigeria will participating in the Games with Athletics, Boxing, Judo, Para Athletics, Para Powerlifting and Para Table Tennis.
Others according to the statement are, Table Tennis, Weightlifting and
Wrestling 

“Having recently participated in the Chef de Mission Open Day Visit in Birmingham, the Ministry is taking strategic steps in ensuring that all Sports Teams for the Games are adequately prepared.
“Athletes will be called to Camp in the month of May 2022 in different locations under the supervision of trained Coaches and other Athletes Support Personnel.
“The concerned National Sports Federations have been requested to harmonize their Commonwealth Games Roadmap (micro) to dovetail into the Ministry’s central Strategic Plan (macro) on or before 17 April 2022.”
Manga indicated that the trials for selection of eligible athletes in their Sports/disciplines will be concluded on or before 25 April, 2022.
