The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) has ranked the Federal University Dutse first in ethics and integrity among the federal universities in Nigeria.
This was contained in their 2022 Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard published recently.
FUD ranked first among all the Federal universities in Nigeria, second among the agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Education and seventh nationwide among all the Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Extra-Ministerial Departments.
A statement by chief Information Officer of the institution Abdullahi Yahaya Bello quoted the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed to have congratulated the staff and student for achieving the feat adding that this achievement cannot be recorded without the support and cooperation of the entire university.
He commended the resilience and competence of the FUD’s Anti-Corrpuption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) under the able leadership of its Chairman and Secretary, Prof.Lawan Shuaibu and Mal. Shamsudeen Muhammad Kiru for doing a wonderful job of ensuring that the university comply with all the requirements of ICPC.
He called for vigilance among the university community in order to ensure that the standard is maintained at all times.
