A major internal party crisis may have hit the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa splitting the party into two camps.

It was gathered that a misunderstanding between the state governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar and a chieftain of the party and business Mogul, Alhaji Isah Gerawa who is the major financier of the APC in the state is tearing the party apart in the state
Gerawa in a secret meeting with people suspected to be APC members in a video clip that is in circulation among some persons in the state was alleged to have accused governor Badaru of awarding himself most of the juicy contracts in the state using non indigenes mostly non Muslims as fronts

The imbroglio has led to accusation and counter accusation from the camps of the two former allies.

Mr Gerawa a billionaire contractor and the Chairman of Gerawa Group of Companies was alleged to have some misgivings over the choice of the APC deputy Governorship candidate in Umar Namadi.
The fear is that if he is elected in the 2023 general election it may not allow the trend to continue for his business relationship with the State government
Speaking on the issue of contracts, he said it was unfortunate that the contracts are being awarded to contractors who can not help the people of the state.

“For four years I have not received a penny (Contract) from Jigawa Government, if you see me sharing money, I got it from other places but my Zenith Bank account where I am receiving payment from Jigawa has not received a penny in four years.

Gerawa is alleged to the godfather to the APC governorship candidate, Malam Umar Danmodi who emerged allegedly against the wish of the governor.

Gerawa is also alleged to be the godfather to a senator, some members house of the House of representatives and some state’s assembly candidates contesting in the forthcoming general elections under the party (APC).

The Gerawa camp is also accusing governor Badaru of abandoning thousands of flood victims across the state in the IDP camps as he has traveled out of the country.

The equally alleged that governor Badaru has deliberately refused to release money to the state’s emergency relief management agency to provide relief materials to the flood victims.

“So also they accused him of withholding the sum of N50 million assistance from the APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the flood victims in the state”
“What is the meaning of all these? This is deliberate attempt by the governor to fail the party in the election”
They expressed the fear the Governor may be working clandestinely for the opposition to win Jigawa
