FUD gets 5 new professors, 19 associate profs

The Governing Council of the Federal University Dutse in JIgawa state has approved the promotion of five associate professors to the rank of professors.

This was contained in a press statement issued to newsmen by chief Information Officer of the university, Mr Abdullahi Yahaya Bello in Dutse.

The statement indicated that , “The 3rd Governing Council of the Federal University Dutse at its 10th meeting held on May 26, 2023 has approved the promotion of Dr. Abdullahi Ali Ibrahim to the rank of Professor of Animal Breeding and Genetics; Dr. Gambo Babandi Gumel to the rank of Professor of Islamic Banking and Finance; Dr. Mustapha Danjuma Hussaini to the rank of Professor of Sociology (Criminology & Security Studies)

Others are, Dr. Bashir Sajoh Mienda, Professor of Biotechnology, and Dr. Bello Aminu Bello, Professor of Biochemistry.

The Council also promoted 19 academic staff to the rank of Associate Professors. They are:

  1. Dr. Umar Muktar (Agric Economics & Extension)
  2. Dr. Aliyu Abdulrahman (Agric Economics & Extension)
  3. Dr. Ado Garba (Agric Economics & Extension)
  4. Dr. Bashir G. Muktar (Agric Economics & Extension)
  5. Dr. Salim Lawal Abdulrahman (Animal Science)
  6. Dr. Danmaigoro Olarenwaju (Crop Science)
  7. Dr. Ibrahim Sunusi Chinede (English/Linguistics)
  8. Dr. Nasir Umar Muhammad (English/Linguistics)
  9. Dr. Muhammad Musa Sodang (English/Linguistics)
  10. Dr. Nasirudeen Ibrahim Ahmad (English/ Linguistics)
  11. Dr. Kamal Lamidi Olaniyi (Political Science)
  12. Dr. Aminu Ma’aruf Nass (Taxation)
  13. Dr. Mohammed Isah Auyo (Biological Sciences)
  14. Dr. Suleiman Inuwa Mohammed (BiologicalSciences)
  15. Dr. Joshua Balogun Babalola (Biological Sciences)
  16. Dr. Shiaka Gimba Peter (Microbiology/Biotechnology)
