NCPF expresses hope that 2022 will usher in a new lease of life for Nigerians

***Describes 2021 as a year of uncertainty, rancor, hardship, frustration

The North Central Peoples’ Forum (NCPF) has expressed the hope thet the new year will usher in a new dawn that will help put behind the bitter experience in 2021 of the division, rancour, hardship, frustration and uncertainty.
The forum said negative narratives dominated the nation holding it back from progressing.
The Executive Chairman, North Central Peoples’ Forum, Arc. (Chief) Gabriel Yakubu Aduku, in his new year message said the new year will afford Nigerians better opportunities to where they can all work together to build a country of their collective dream.
He said despite all the hiccups in the country’s quest for development there is one thing they can always celebrate which is the fact that “we live in one of the most amazing countries on Earth, with a wonderful ‘Nigerian spirit’, which means that we will always overcome whatever challenges we face.

“Nevertheless, in this New Year, we must be resolute enough to find solutions for combating endemic corruption; kidnapping; banditry; terror and other forms of insecurity, austerity; unemployment; disunity; sectionalism and a host of other retrogressive realities that have plagued our beloved country and left us behind most nations of the world.

“Just as the Motto of our Forum postulates “Unity, Peace and Progress”, every citizen of this country, regardless of his/her social and economic status, has a moral and constitutional obligation to contribute to the unity, peace and progress of our fatherland.

This, therefore calls for collective decisions that promote values of mutual tolerance and the determination to attain the status of an economically transformed and socially cohesive country that’s driven by modern science and technology in the New Year 2022.
He wished all Nigerians across the globe, in general, and the great people of North Central Geo-Political zone, in particular a happy new year.
